Student Representatives on Boards & Commissions
This program, developed by the Whitpain Township Board of Supervisors, serves to appoint high school students to serve as non-voting members on various boards and commissions, including the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Park & Open Space Board, Shade Tree Commission, Human Relations Commission, and Environmental Advisory Council. Whitpain Township believes that it is important to include a student’s perspective into recommendations made by the boards and commissions, and at the same time, we think it will offer an excellent learning experience for the students.
