Manor House at Prophecy Creek Park

In 2011 Whitpain Township approved a license agreement with Weddings by The Pond for the use of the Manor House at Prophecy Creek Park. The Manor House had fallen into disrepair and needed significant capital improvements. To date, the interior of the house has been completely renovated into one of the premier event destinations in the area. Significant improvements to the heating, air conditioning, security and fire detection systems have taken place. The grounds surrounding the Manor House have been beautifully landscaped and continue to improve significantly.

Improvements

Currently, as part of the planned improvements, the entrance and parking lot improvement project is underway. An expanded and paved parking area for Manor House guests and park patrons will be completed by late fall of 2014. Improved storm-water, work management systems, landscape buffers, and parking lot lights are part of this project. Special Events

The unique agreement with Weddings by The Pond, owned by Robert Fair Caterers, granted the company permission to use the Manor House and grounds surrounding the house for special events, such as weddings, meetings and receptions. As part of the agreement, the company would make the much-needed improvements to the Manor House and grounds. The Township receives license fee from the use of the Manor House. The revenue generated after the major improvements are completed is currently slated to help sustain our open space program in the areas of development and maintenance.

Weddings by The Pond has been hard at work at the Manor House since the agreement was signed. Suffice to say, this is not the former Manor House. You can see for yourself with a tour by calling 610-608-7405 to arrange a visit.
