PennDOT will restrict Route 202

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will restrict Route 202 between Jolly Road and Cherry Road in Whitpain Township and Walton Road between Germantown Pike and Plymouth Township beginning Nov. 19 for bridge reconstruction.

The structures will be reduced to one lane in each direction through July 2010.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will reconstruct two bridges over the Turnpike under a PennDOT highway occupancy permit.

Motorists are encouraged to report maintenance concerns to PennDOT by using its toll-free Roadway Maintenance Hotline at 1-800-FIX-ROAD  (1-800-349-7623).

The number should not be used to report traffic accidents, disable vehicles or other emergencies. Motorists should continue to call 9-1-1 to report those types of emergencies.
