Lena Cabot 610-277-2400 ext. 329 Nicole Godson 610-277-2400 ext. 331The purpose of the Zoning Hearing Board is to help assure fair and equitable application of the Zoning Ordinance by hearing appeals to the Zoning Officers decisions and where appropriate granting relief from the literal enforcement of the Ordinance. Since the Board is quasijudicial in nature and has no legislative power. It can not:

 | make nor modify zoning policy

enact or amend the Zoning Ordinance

create or change any zoning classifications |
The Board schedules hearings for submitted applications of appeals. During the hearing evidence is submitted. A written decision is subsequently issued based upon the facts presented and interpretation of applicable laws.
Its scope of activities is limited to those permitted by the Municipalities Planning Code and the local Zoning Ordinance. The board consists of five members appointed by the Board of Supervisors, each serving five-year, staggered terms.
Regular monthly meetings are held in Meeting Room A in the Township Building, 960 Wentz Road at
7:00 PM on the third Thursday of the month. The Board encourages all residents to attend hearings. Parents may find it an interesting educational process for their youngsters. Back to Top
