Township Manager
 The Township Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Township, responsible to the Board for the execution of its policies. The manager directs all administrative departments, prepares the annual budget, and recommends other policies and procedures to the Board. The Whitpain Township Manager is Phyllis C. Lieberman. Boards and Commissions
 Whitpain Township residents are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve on various boards and commissions. The Boards are generally advisory in nature, with the exception of the Zoning Hearing Board
and the Board of Appeals. Meetings are generally held in Meeting Room A of the Whitpain Township Building located at 960 Wentz Road. Back to Top
Administrative Departments
 There are several departments that have been created to assist in the administration of the day-to-day affairs of the township. These departments are: Code Enforcement, Engineering, Finance, Fire Protection, Parks and Recreation, Police and Public Works. The directors of each of these departments are hired by and are under the direct supervision of the Township Manager. More than 100 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees comprising these departments are responsible for carrying out the Townships mission of providing the best of local government services to our constituents. Tax Collector
 The Tax Collector is elected by Township voters to a four-year term. The Tax Collector is responsible for the issuance and collection of the 2 annual real estate tax bills; one for the County & Township and one for the School District. Real estate tax is based on an assessed value determined by the Montgomery County Board of Assessments. The county was reassessed effective January 1, 1998. Appeals for reassessment must be made directly to the County Board of Assessments in Norristown. The office of the Tax Collector is located in the rear of the Township Building and is open Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The current Real Estate Tax Collector (Elected), Patty Nelson can be reached at (610) 275-7355 (Phone), (610) 275-1130 (FAX). District Justice
 The District Justice is elected at-large by Township voters to a six-year term. The Justice is responsible for hearing civil cases involving small claims (up to $4,000) and all summary offenses. The Justice also sets bail for persons arrested for misdemeanors and felonies, and he conducts preliminary hearings to determine whether sufficient evidence exists to hold the accused person for trial.
