Whitpain Township offers an annual leaf collection program to Township residents.
J.P. Mascaro & Sons of Souderton, PA will provide residential curbside collection of bagged
leaves for the 2007/2008 season. The program offers four collection days per year, three in the
fall; one in the spring as follows:

includes residents who live between North Wales Road and DeKalb Pike, bordered by Lower Gwynedd and East Norriton Townships.

includes residents who live between DeKalb Pike and Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike, bordered by Lower Gwynedd and East Norriton Townships.Section III includes residents who live between Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike and Butler Pike, bordered by Lower Gwynedd Township/Ambler Borough and East Norriton/Plymouth Townships. |

Requirements

Leaves must be placed in special biodegradable paper bags which are available at the Township Building, 960 Wentz Road, Blue Bell, PA Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
 Bags will be sold at
3/$1.00 (only in increments of 3). There is no other cost to residents. Leaves will only be collected if placed in these special bags at curbside. Bags must be placed curbside the night before the scheduled collection day to assure they are collected. Do not mix other trash or garbage with leaves. Branch and Chip Program
 The Township runs two Branch and Chip Collection Programs during the year. The Spring Program runs from mid-March through the
end of April. The Fall Program runs from mid-September through the first week of October.
Residents who want tree branches picked up during these periods must call the Public Works Department (610-277-2400, ext. 380) prior to
NOON Wednesday of the week they wish to have the branches picked up and leave their address. Branches will normally be collected on Thursday and Friday, weather permitting. Please note, however, that collections may be delayed until Monday or Tuesday of the following week. IF YOU DO NOT CALL, YOUR BRANCHES WILL NOT BE PICKED UP. The Public Works Department chips the branches and stockpiles the chips. Free wood chips are available at the corner of Wentz and Jolly Roads.
Residents must comply with the following: Leave the branches as long as possible Nothing over 4 inches (4") in diameter will be
accepted Branches should be placed at the curb in an orderly
pile with the cut end facing the street Branches with thorns WILL NOT be collected
This service does not include hedge and shrub clippings or vines, which should be handled through your private trash hauler.
