The Whitpain Township Public Works Department is comprised of three divisions: Highway, Sewer, and Parks. Each division has a varied number of duties and responsibilities. Regardless of weather conditions, every effort is made to accomplish our duties. Our department prides itself on the idea of preventative maintenance. Residents cooperation is essential to the effectiveness of the department. Township staff along with the help of outside contracts undertakes many of our routine responsibilities, including waste collection, leaf collection and snow removal. Some of our work is part of the capital improvements master plan. The remainder of our activities are dictated by conditions within the Township, and the concerns generated by the residents.
The Parks Division maintains the 400+ acres of Township-owned lands. This includes mowing, aeration, fertilizing, tree and shrubbery maintenance as well as related equipment maintenance. Back to Top
