The Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide a variety of quality leisure
programs and services which capture the interest of township residents of all ages. As we progress through the years, we will make every attempt to introduce programs that meet the educational, social and recreational needs of our patrons at a reasonable cost. Should you have questions or concerns, please feel free to call the Parks Department at 610-277-2400 at ext. 374 or 375, or e-mail us at Parks&Recreation
The Whitpain Township Park System is comprised of more than 400 acres of open space and parkland, ranging from the multipurpose facility at Wentz Run Park to the newly dedicated open space of Prophecy Creek Park, which features rolling meadows, pristine ponds, and an array of natural deciduous and evergreen trees. We encourage all residents to come on out for a leisurely day of outdoor activity at any of our beautiful township parks!
If you are interested in renting any of the park facilities, please file
out a Facility
Permit.
Help Wanted!
In order to provide the best possible
programs, we will, from time to time, seek qualified individuals to work on a part-time basis. A current listing of employment opportunities is now available.
Special Needs
Whitpain Township is committed to providing equal opportunity to all residents. Any disabled individual who requires special accommodations must note the required accommodations when registering for a program.
Newsletter
The Department provides the residents with a
bi-annual newsletter mailed in Spring/Summer, and Fall/Winter. The newsletter is generally an 8-12 page tool used to spread information regarding trips, sports classes, events, community bulletin board, discount tickets, as well as a convenient registration form.
