Master Trails Plan
Since 2006 Whitpain Township has had a long-standing goal to incorporate a township-wide trail network linking neighborhoods to community facilities and open spaces. The Township has been working with property owners and the landscape architectural firm Land Concepts to devise a viable trail plan which will ultimately link the south and north sides of the municipality, the intervening neighborhoods and points of interest. Residents of all ages are already seeking recreation, exercise, and exploration on the completed portions of Township Trails.
Trail Information
We welcome to explore and support trails in Whitpain Township. If you have any questions, please contact Kurt Baker, Director of Parks and Recreation, at 610-277-2400 or email Kurt Baker. If you are like many residents who love the idea of not having to jump into your car to travel within the township and would like to make a tax-deductible donation to the Whitpain Trail Fund, please click here. Thank you for your support and we wish you many years of recreation, exercise and exploration!

The Township has helped minimize the cost of the trail system to taxpayers by seeking out public-private partnerships and obtaining grants. This information provides background and data to support the benefits of a trail and was used to apply for a grant in August 2013.

The largest portion being addressed currently to complete this monumental Trail Network is referred to as the Core Connector because it will ultimately connect the entire Township to neighboring Townships from the North to the South.
