The Whitpain Township Open Space Plan adopted in December 1995 identifies township owned open space and parkland.
You’ll find our “passive” parks designed to promote the quiet leisure of walking and bird watching. Amenities are usually limited to trash receptacles, bench seating, and, at some locations, a designated walking path.
This beautiful tract of natural open space land was acquired in 1997 with grant money from the Montgomery County Open Space Program.
The Township renovated this tract of open space with several evergreen trees and several varieties of shade trees. Installation of park benches, trash receptacles, and appropriate signage rounded out this project.
In 2011 Whitpain Township approved a license agreement with Weddings by The Pond for the use of the Manor House at Prophecy Creek Park.
Since 2006 Whitpain Township has had a long-standing goal to incorporate a township-wide trail network linking neighborhoods to community facilities and open spaces.
This magnificent park features rolling meadows, pristine ponds, and an array of natural deciduous and evergreen trees.
